How to Use in the
CLASSROOM
The human teacher is
the key. Bible
Point lessons are designed for a teacher to present. The lessons are NOT
voiced. This computer technology is only another tool to for a teacher
to use. The teacher teaches.
Teacher’s Notes. Teacher’s
Notes are provided with each lesson. They are provided either at the end
of the lesson, in PowerPoint’s* "Note View," or as a
separate file. Print them and use them.
Rehearse the lesson
using the "Teacher’s Notes" and the Bible Point lesson in
PowerPoint together.
Present to students. The
teacher teaches. This is so much better than video, which allows for
little teacher-student interaction. With Bible Point lessons the teacher
is in control.
Prepare student
hand-outs. Many
of the Bible Point lessons come with student hand-outs similar to the
Teacher’s Notes. Print them and copy them for the students.
How to Use with TV or
Projectors:
To present Bible
Point lessons to large audiences you will need a large monitor, data
projector, or large screen TV.
Using your computer with
a TV may require
additional computer hardware. Some newer PCs come with TV signal
capabilities. So, first check to see if yours does. If your computer
does, follow the manufacturers instructions. If your computer does not,
you will need an adapter (such as provided by TView) to convert the
computer digital signal to a TV analog signal. Such adapters are both
internal and external. You may even acquire an adapter for your notebook
PCMCIA slot. Attach the PC (via adapter) to the TV and present in class.
Using your computer with
a Data Projector. Connection
to most data projectors is similar to connecting to a PC monitor. Follow
the manufacturers instructions.
